Is Merino Wool itchy?

No.

We use superfine merino wool under 18 microns, which is softer than most cotton. The fibers bend on contact with skin rather than poking into it.

Can I machine wash this?

Yes. Cold water, gentle cycle, tumble dry low.

If you want to be extra careful, you can machine wash and lay flat to dry.

The polo is pre-shrunk before cutting, so expect minimal shrinkage (less than 3%).

How does merino compare to polyester golf polos?

Merino outperforms polyester in temperature regulation, odor resistance, moisture management, UV protection, and comfort. The key difference: merino's performance is structural, built into the fiber itself. Polyester relies on chemical treatments that degrade over time.

The Fabric page.

Does Merino Wool smell?

The opposite. Merino is one of the most odor-resistant fibers available.

The fiber structure prevents bacteria from colonizing, and natural lanolin provides antimicrobial properties.

Mountaineers wear the same merino layer for a week. You can wear this polo for multiple rounds before it needs a wash.

Why does this polo cost $138?

Three reasons. First, 100% super-fine merino wool costs significantly more than polyester.

Second, the polo is made in America with premium trims: corozo nut buttons, fusible interfacing in the collar, and tonal embroidery.

Third, there are no middlemen. We sell direct to you and through select pro shops.

The per-wear cost tells the real story. Merino resists odor and holds its shape longer than synthetics. You wash it less and replace it less

Will it keep me cool in the summer?

Yes. Merino actively thermoregulates. Air pockets in the fiber's crimped structure allow airflow in heat and trap warmth in cold.

The same polo works in 95-degree sun and 55-degree morning fog.

Do you offer bulk or wholesale pricing?

Yes. We work with golf course pro shops, corporate buyers, and club programs.

Contact bryan@auderegolf.com for wholesale inquiries.

Will you make other products?

Yes. The merino polo is the first product, not the last. A quarter zip and hoodie are in development.
